Medical cannabis oil has a lot of different properties and can affect the body in numerous ways. Among others, it might have an impact on our appetite. Of course, having a healthy appetite is always nice, but you don't want to overeat constantly. Unfortunately, it seems that cannabidiol works as an antagonist of cannabinoid receptors. In other words, it cannot bind to them as THC does. So, it is believed that cannabidiol either has an indirect impact or it relies on trace amounts of THC to affect our bodies. 

Generally speaking, the cannabis plant (whether we're talking about marijuana or hemp flower) is able to regulate the whole body and improve various metabolic processes. So, the boost to appetite might be another potential advantage of this. It is really hard to say. Things are even trickier if you consider that CBD isolate (products that only have CBD) may also improve your appetite. This effectively removes THC from the equation.

Anyway, we have conflicting data regarding the hemp plant and its impact on hunger. According to some people, it can cause munchies. Others haven’t felt any changes nor improvement to the appetite.

Unlike CBD products that are made from hemp flowers, these substances utilize plant seeds. Although this might sound strange, you can combine the two. However, keep in mind that these substances may also carry other oils such as olive oil or MCT oil. Because of so many ingredients, they might provoke your stomach leading to adverse effects. Hemp seed oil won't have the same beneficial properties, but it does have a lot of fatty acids that promote health and wellbeing.

Potential risks

No matter how you wish to utilize CBD oil for your appetite, make sure to take things slowly. Cannabidiol may lead to various metabolic changes, and some of its side effects include diarrhea and other stomach issues. The last thing you need to do is lose liquids and energy while trying to boost your appetite.

In order to avoid any issues, buy CBD oil from reputable sources. Also, make sure to consult with a medical professional beforehand, and find a dosage that will suit your needs and body weight.
